The two legends are frequently compared, but who had more help?

When it comes to picking the greatest player in NBA history, there’s a very good chance that either Michael Jordan or LeBron James are going to be picked. Both possess dynamic talent, won multiple MVP awards (five for Jordan and currently four for James) and championships (six for Jordan and currently three for James) while generally dazzling the league during their respective careers. When comparing the two, the argument sometimes shifts to which player had more help in their pursuit of excellence. Let’s take a look at the five best teammates each legend was able to play with during their impressive runs.

Michael Jordan:

Scottie Pippen, Forward: The Robin to Jordan’s Batman, Pippen was an elite aggressive defender, who became a dangerous passer and scorer. The duo he formed with MJ gave opposing teams an almost impossible task of matching up against the two uber-athletic players. During 12 seasons with the Chicago Bulls, he averaged 16.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists. He sailed into the Hall of Fame in 2010.
