NBA Players Who Have Stepped Up Their Game During 2020 Playoffs

This basketball postseason has brought the best out in some players

The NBA playoffs are in full swing and the action thus far has been exciting. Some players have been performing as expected, while others have noticeably stepped up their game. These games that are most stressful and are the final steps to the championship can act as a catalyst for some to unlock new gears. Here are the players who have shown a dramatic improvement in their production during the 2019–2020 NBA postseason.

Donovan Mitchell, Guard- Utah Jazz: The Jazz bowed out in the first round after an exciting back and forth series with the Denver Nuggets but that was no fault of their 23-year-old guard. He had a strong regular season that saw him average 24 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists, while connecting on 36.6% of his three-point attempts. In three years since he was drafted, he has steadily gotten better, and his play in this year’s playoffs may have announced his coming out as a true superstar.

In the seven games against the Nuggets, Mitchell averaged a whopping 36.3 points (tops among all players in this year’s playoffs), 5.0 rebounds and 4.9 assists. He also shot 52.9% from the field, 51.6% from three (on 9.1 attempts per games) and 94.8% from the line. It’s…
