Julian Edelman

Star Studded Injuries

The Chiefs lost their starting running back, Spencer Ware, yesterday with a possible PCL injury and it is believed that his ACL is fully intact. He will receive an MRI today to determine the extent. Luckily for Andy Reid and co, they have Kareem Hunt and Charcandrick West, both of which can thrive as a starter.

Unfortunately for the reigning Super Bowl champs, wide receiver Julian Edelman went down yesterday with a non-contact knee injury. It is likely that he tore his ACL which will end his season.

Scott Tolzien

Indianapolis Colts Quarterback Situation

It was reported yesterday, by ESPN.com’s Mike Wells, that Andrew Luck is in danger of missing week one while recovering from his offseason shoulder surgery. With the possibility of Luck missing week one, the Colts will turn to Scott Tolzien to start under center. Tolzien had one start last season in a losing effort to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Michael Vick

Michael Vick Joins FOX Sports

Fox Sports will make an announcement Sunday that Michael Vick will appear as an NFL studio analyst on Fox NFL Kickoff. Here’s what Vick said to USA TODAY Sports yesterday:

“I’m very excited. Over the last seven or eight months, I’ve done a lot of interviews, and I think I’ve gotten better as I’ve been put in those situations more often. Things really came together [with Fox] over the last couple months. They have shows that I have always watched and admired. My friends and family are thankful and proud of me.”

It was truly an honor to watch Vick play growing up. Ever since he graced the cover of Madden 2004, he has been a legend in the community. It will sure be great to see the man back in action every Sunday.

Blake Bortles

Quarterback Battle Predictions

  • Browns: Brock Osweiler vs Deshone Kizer

This one is easy. Brock has been pretty terrible in since he signed that contract with the Texans. Deshone Kizer has shown so much promise and if he does well this week, expect him to be named as the week one starter.

Winner: Deshone Kizer

  • Bears: Mike Glennon vs Mitchell Trubisky

Let’s not forget that the Bears are paying Glennon $45 million over three years. With that being said, he is most certainly going to start week one for the Bears, right? Maybe. He has looked horrible this preseason while Trubisky has been great. I am going to give the edge to Glennon simply because he is getting paid so much and Trubisky is still learning.

Winner: Mike Glennon

  • Jaguars: Blake Bortles vs Chad Henne

Bortles has been horrible and Henne is, well Henne is Henne. The Jaguars are in quite the predicament with a couple of bad shot callers. Honestly, they should sign Colin Kaepernick and forget about these two bums. Blake Bortles was actually named the starter for week one this morning. He leads the league with 63 turnovers over the last three years. It is truly a tough time to be a Jags fan, but when isn’t it?

Winner: Blake Bortles
