WE FINALLY MADE IT, Y’ALL. We made it to the NFL season, and we made it to the finale of our four-part, 10,000-word 2020 NFL Season Preview. We divided the 32 NFL teams into four sets of 8. We knocked out the 8 cellar dwellers at the bottom, dumped on 8 teams that will disappoint, and touted 8 hot sleepers for the new season. All that’s left now is the 8 teams that matter most: our 2020 Super Bowl contenders.

Fourteen teams will make the playoffs for the first time ever, but that doesn’t mean all 14 are Super Bowl contenders. Anything can happen in this weird pandemic year, but we all know no Super Bowl winner is coming out of the AFC East or NFC North this season.

The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers met in last year’s Super Bowl and are expected to be good again. Most expect the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens to contend again too, and the Ravens were our big sleeper hit last year. But great teams one season aren’t always great the next. Who are this year’s eight Super Bowl contenders?
