Pat McAfee Ruins A Life

Pat McAfee needs to be fired. Three days ago last week. A month ago. Even four years ago, when the whole Aaron Rodgers “I’m immunized,” bullshit hit the fan. That he is still employed by ESPN is an affront to everyone who has an ounce of decency in them.

How he, and others of lesser import, continues his toxic brand of ‘bro culture’ is beyond my comprehension. I don’t watch him on either ESPN or YouTube, so I was unaware of this malicious and false story about an 18-year-old student at the University of Mississippi (not even an athlete or has any connection to the University’s athletic department), her boyfriend and his dad.

Until this morning.

This young woman, a business major and member of the Kappa Delta sorority, whom I will not name, had a fraternity boyfriend and up until February 25, was having your typical college experience. That day, on a social media app called YikYak, (where do these ‘geniuses’ come up with these names? In the bathroom? Or maybe watching porn on Porn Hub?), where users can post anonymously, some user said this woman had sex with her boyfriend’s dad.

How McAfee found out about this is anyone’s guess (at this point, it doesn’t matter), but the next morning, at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, instead of talking about the draft prospects of Mississippi quarterback Jaxson Dart with ESPN’s NFL reporter Adam Schefter, he goes on about this 18-year-old’s supposed ‘ménage à trois’ with her boyfriend’s dad.
