The 2021 Major League Baseball season is about to kick off with the opening of spring training camps. Teams are still fine-tuning their rosters but, in most cases, they made their most significant transactions earlier in the offseason. However, there are still quality free agents still looking for a place to play during the upcoming season for anyone looking for an upgrade or to cover for an injury. Here is the best of those available players.

Yasiel Puig, Outfielder: Although it seems like he has been around forever, the right-handed slugger just barely turned 30. He did not play during the abbreviated 2020 season, as a contract with the Atlanta Braves fell through after a positive Covid-19 diagnosis. He hit .267 with 24 home runs and 84 RBIs in 2019 and could provide some easy pop for any team looking to add beef to their lineup.

Shin-Soo Choo, Outfielder: The 16-year big-league vet is 38 but has been remarkably consistent throughout his career.
