THE FUN STUFF

How long will it take for Luke Bryan to sing the US National Anthem?

  • Over 2 minutes 9 seconds -120
  • Under 2 minutes 9 seconds -120

The average anthem time of the last 11 Super Bowls is 1 minute 58 seconds. That includes Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, and Lady Gaga (who clocked in at 2 minutes 9 seconds last year). You know they were belting it and showing off their pipes as they milked every syllable possible during “Land of the free, and the home of the brave.” The last time our boy Luke was on the national spotlight like this, he handled his business in exactly two minutes at the 2012 MLB All Star Game. Give me the UNDER. Easy money. He is a simple man that knows the quicker he finishes, the sooner he can start pounding Budweisers.

What will Luke Bryan be wearing when he starts singing the US National Anthem?

  • Blue jeans -250
  • Any other pants/shorts +170

Doesn’t matter if you have to tap into the kid’s tuition money. Feel comfortable as BLUE JEANS is a lock.

Will Luke Bryan be wearing a hat when he appears on screen before singing the US National Anthem?

  • Yes +150
  • No -200

Luke was born in Georgia and even went to college there. Just so happens a certain NFL team from Georgia happens to be playing in this game. I like YES as he will most likely be rocking a Falcons hat. Plus there is always the possibility of him sporting a cheap beer, America, or car company hat. Fits right in with his image and the jeans.

How many times will Trump be said on TV during the live broadcast? From kickoff to final whistle, live broadcast only, halftime and commercials do not apply

  • Over 1.5 times EVEN
  • Under 1.5 times -140

It’s gotta be the UNDER. We’re all here to enjoy a football game and escape the concerns of the real world for a few hours. The whole country is on edge, FOX isn’t going to want to upset anyone. However, this is the Donald we’re talking about here. The number could go way over as there is a possibility he nukes Sudan mid-broadcast because too many people are watching the game instead of paying attention to him.

Will “Houston we have a problem” be said on TV during live broadcast?

  • Yes +250
  • No -400

As viewers, we all lose if it ends up being yes. Al Michaels calling the game would have made this a virtual lock. Doesn’t feel like a line Joe Buck or white Jay Z would drop though. I suggest taking the NO; unless you want to double down on the Trump nuke scenario, which would all but guarantee this line getting thrown out there.

What will be higher on Super Bowl Sunday

  • Patriots total points scored -140
  • Russell Westbrook points scored EVEN

Russ and his 30.8 points per game are hosting the 4th worst defensive team in the NBA in terms of points allowed on Sunday when the Trailblazers come to town. He could go off but should reach the lower 30s easy. That seems closer to the ceiling of the Pats point total. Also I don’t care how small the chance is that Russ sees this article, I do not want to get on his bad side.

How many times will Giselle Bundchen be shown on TV during live broadcast?

  • Over 1.5 +150
  • Under 1.5 -200

This is always on here and it’s always the under

What color will the liquid be that is poured on the winning coach?

  • Clear +300
  • Orange +300
  • Yellow +300
  • Lime/green +350
  • Blue +500
  • Red +600
  • Purple +1200

Over the past 13 Super Bowls, the winning coach has only been showered in blue Gatorade once. Which team was that? The Pats just two years ago. So the +500 is appealing if you like the Pats to win the game. Personally, I’m going with ORANGE. It has been the color of choice for 4 out of the last 7 champs. Not to mention, it’s the worst flavor so the players will be most likely to get rid of that cooler if there are multiple to choose form.

Who will the Super Bowl MVP mention first after he is presented the trophy?

Matt Ryan and Tom Brady are heavy favorites to take home the MVP hardware. They are both religious but Ryan is definitely FTB over everything. A reputable source has confirmed this. I have strong suspicions about the origin of the Matty Ice nickname. Tom was a surprise omission from that list but they are cut from the same cloth. They are both the alpha dogs who wouldn’t be there if it wasn’t for an incredible effort by the rest of the pack. They are most likely to go TEAM while any other MVP will most likely go GOD for his unexpected, miraculous effort on the world’s biggest stage. The MVP has been a quarterback more times than not.

Opening coin toss will be

  • Heads -102
  • Tails -102

Don’t try to skip this Super Bowl classic. Plus, it’s great for getting you in the mood early on. In the 50 Super Bowls, there has been 26 tails compared to 24 heads. The last 3 have been tails but the 5 before that were all heads. Heads is due. Honestly, a 50/50 tossup like this is a smarter bet than most of the bullshit on these prop sheets anyways. Vegas never loses.

ACTUAL FOOTBALL STUFF

Will the opening kickoff result in a touchback?

  • Yes -200
  • No +160

Atlanta registered a touchback on just under 64% of their kickoffs while New England’s rate was around 56%. The kickers should have some extra juice in their legs with all the adrenaline flowing. YES is the pick here.

Will Matt Ryan throw a touchdown pass in the first quarter?

  • Yes +120
  • No -140

Atlanta has scored on their first possession in each of their last eight games. The odds are in his favor as they had 38 passing touchdowns in the regular season compared to 20 on the ground. Ryan and the Falcons will find the end zone early and often. YES.

How long will Chris Hogan’s first reception be?*(If No Reception-Under is the winner)

  • Over 11.5 Even
  • Under 11.5 -120

He averages 17.9 yards a catch and posted 180 yards on 9 grabs in the AFC Championship game. Atlanta’s secondary isn’t scaring anyone. Simple math says take the OVER.

How many receiving yards will Taylor Gabriel finish the game with?

  • Over 49.5 -110
  • Under 49.5 -110

He’s gone over this mark in 6 out of his last 10 games even though he was battling a nagging injury for some of this time. He should be his explosive self after a week of rest. Belichick has over emphasized neutralizing the opponents best player in the past. Which means Julio Jones will likely draw Super Bowl hero Malcolm Butler and frequent double teams. More looks should be there for Gabriel and Sanu. The Pats have struggled against agile and small players like Gabriel. He’s also the kind of player that can reach this yardage mark on one or two plays. I like the OVER.

The first turnover of the game will be?

  • Fumble +120
  • Interception -140
  • No turnovers +650

These two committed the fewest turnovers in the NFL with only 11 each. Betting NO TURNOVERS is only for the bold, but it’s my favorite long shot of the day.

First half spread

  • New England (-1.5) -115
  • Atlanta (+1.5) -105

I like ATLANTA to win the game outright and we have already discussed their hot starts. They are averaging a league high 18.9 points during the first half.

The largest points lead of the game by either team will be

  • Over 16.5 points +110
  • Under 16.5 points -140

That’s a ton of points. These two offenses should be trading haymakers back and forth all night. Both teams are experienced and not susceptible to a lack of focus or a flurry of turnovers that would cause the game to get out of hand like this. Should stay UNDER 16.5.

Total rushing yards for LeGarrette Blount

  • Over 57.5 -115
  • Under 57.5 -115

He’s failed to reach this mark in each of his last 5 games. We should see a lot of James White this game as the Pats will need to throw the ball to keep up with Atlanta’s historic offense. UNDER

Who will win the MVP

The NFL is a QB driven league now more than ever. The league’s two best quarterbacks (in terms of PFF grades) find themselves on the league’s two best offenses. There is a strong possibility of a down to the wire shootout. The winning quarterback should be a lock for the MVP. Both teams spread out the ball as well, limiting the upside of other contenders. Yes, Julio is a freak, but his target share is down 9% this year. They also ranked in the top 5 in terms of rushing yards per game and finished number 1 in offensive DVOA even though Julio was absent or banged up for chunks of the season. Ryan’s and Brady’s weapons have proved any of them can beat you on any given night. A dart throw on anyone else isn’t worth it with these two under center.

Will Matt Ryan win Regular Season MVP and Super Bowl MVP?

  • Yes +225
  • No -350

Here’s some free money if you’re confident in the Falcons winning. He is the overwhelming Super Bowl MVP candidate if they are victorious in Houston and his regular season resume speaks for itself. No ifs, ands, or buts about him taking home that hardware. You have to double down on the YES here if you like the Falcons to win.
