Ben Hamm

A head injury from a hard hit during a high school football game in Oklahoma put a player into a medically-induced coma. Doctors said they had to lower the pressure in his head immediately. Unfortunately, it didn’t solve the problem and junior Ben Hamm passed away,

Hamm scored a touchdown for his team, but during the next play took a hard hit, according to KFOR-TV. Hamm was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery. He died September 19th.

Evan

Evan Murray of Warren Hills Regional High School died this past Friday after he was hurt during a game against Summit HS. Murray, quarterback of the team, took a hard hit and had to be carted off the field. He told his team he felt woozy, according to the New York Daily News, as he was being lifted onto the gurney. He tried giving a thumbs-up to the rest of the team, and all of us cheered,” said Kaitlin Bell, 16, a junior varsity cheerleader.

“Our coach was telling us he was going to be all right. We didn’t expect anything would happen.” — Kaitlin Bell, Cheerleader in readingeagle.com
