Warriors 21–0 and still without their coach

The Warriors have blown past the NBA record for consecutive wins to start a season, winning 21 straight this year. They’ve done all of this without their coach, Steve Kerr. Kerr’s been out the entire season so far, recovering from back surgery and says he has no timetable for his return.
“When I feel better, I’ll come back and coach. That’s the hardest thing: You don’t know when you’re going to feel better.” -” Warriors Coach Steve Kerr to The San Francisco Chronicle
And for those of you looking for a Warrior let down, consider this. Klay Thompson started the season slowly, well beyond his pace from last year, but lately he’s heating up. He’s averaging 18 ppg in his last 9 starts, shooting better than 46% overall and 43.5% from 3.
While those numbers still aren’t where they were last year, neither are Klay’s minutes — or any of the starters. Since they’re blowing people out, Thompson only played about 6 minutes a game in the 4th quarter during the run.
With the way Curry’s playing — and with Thompson heating up — this could be scary good. Again. Like this 26 point, 6 three-point performance against the Raptors.
