There’s a lot happening here at Spotcoin. It was another busy week as we ramp up for the upcoming hackathon, prepare to launch an ICO, and build a future where digital currencies work for everyone.

We’ve never hidden our love for NEO. So, to receive the support of NEO for our Hackathon in September was validation: Spotcoin is on the right track. Did you catch the hackathon announcement? Our Hackathon will launch September 28th, and we hope you join us in Tbilisi to solve problems and advance the smart economy.

The Hackathon will focus on helping the Georgian government expand blockchain technologies in the region. Georgia is pushing boundaries as they maintain their commitment to the smart economy. GEOBlockchain just announced expansion with Bloccelerate. Great things are happening in our home country!

NEO News Today wrote a great article about the Black Sea Blockchain Institute, home of Spotcoin’s educational wing. Speaking of educational opportunities, have you ever wondered why the Spotcoin Team is so invested in education through the Black Sea Blockchain Institute (BSBI) and Hackathon?

According to Upwork, the largest freelance network in the US, Blockchain skills are the most in-demand skill for freelancers. Their survey, which assesses over 5,000 categories, indicates the continued need and growth for blockchain developers and experts in the field. That’s why Spotcoin started BSBI.

Spotcoin’s commitment isn’t just to the Black Sea region. We are a part of a world-wide community that stretches from Tbilisi, Georgia to Detroit, Michigan. That’s where founders Guram Rukhadze and Andrew Thornhill spent their week networking with blockchain enthusiasts and investors. They even had a chance to stop and eat some delicious pancakes.

Have we mentioned how great the blockchain community is? We have to give a shout out to NEO for Beginners who profiled the NEO Black Sea kick off. Check it out!

And we have to highlight SVK CRYPTO. They did a fantastic video, shot at the recent NEO ❤ Amsterdam. Did you spot Tim, Andrew, and Zack?

And join us next week as we continue to tackle our mission to make digital currencies work for everyone.

Have a great weekend!
