“I have watched the match on the KOP stand six times and every time I felt very excited and enjoy the game,” David Lynch, from Ireland who has supported Liverpool FC for 25 years said. “I really like the KOP stand and I can’t wait to watch next game on the Kop.”

After rebuilding, the KOP now can hold only 10 thousand fans and it is less than before, but all of them are still passion. In Liverpool fans’ mind, the KOP stand is the best stand around the world.

“I have supported Liverpool for 50 years and I hope the KOP stand can become better as well as influencing more fans to support Liverpool.” Clarke Campbell, who is from Northern Ireland said.

Jerry Marsden adapted ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ in 1963 and 40 years later, the song has been spreaded. Every time it is on time when the players go out of the path to the court. Whether the team is leading, backward or tied, whether the game is just beginning or approaching the end, this popular song is always reverberating in every corner of the stadium.

During the time after Heysel and Hillsborough disaster, this song also became a way for Liverpool fans to comfort each other. It was strongly integrated with the history and culture of the Liverpool football club and became an inseparable part of the club.

“The song has highly infectious lyrics, strong rhythms and coherent melodies. It has already become a part of my life now.” Moises Jassan, who came from Mexico said.

“I have a great experience on the KOP stand,” Karl Murray from Ireland who has also supported Liverpool Football Club for 25 years said. “And singing team songs with 10 thousand fans together is the most exciting moment in my life.

“I hope that Liverpool can win the league championship, and the KOP stand, team song, can encourage players and fans to achieve the goals together.”
