Real Tree or Artificial?

The other day we were sitting around the office discussing who planned to buy a real Christmas tree and who planned to display an artificial tree. My observations were that those who chose real trees liked the tradition of taking the family, picking THE tree and bringing it back to the homestead ala “Christmas Vacation.” Those who chose the artificial route, sought convenience and cost over the long-term. After that conversation, I being a real tree fan, was curious where the rest of the nation stood on this issue.

As of a 2015 study, approximately 81% of homes chose artificial trees. This was consistent with our office poll. Of those who chose to display artificial trees, 85% of them planned to reuse their trees. It was also interesting that artificial trees were displayed for an average of 11 years.

With that in mind, who wants to take all of the decorations and lights off the tree, squeeze them into a box (if you even have the box) that somehow shrunk from when you unpacked everything, and store it in the attic. Let us do the work for you and we will even bring it back to you next Christmas just in time for Cousin Eddie to show up ;)
