I want to start this with a joke about misfits, so you can have a good laugh and we kick things off on a light note. The problem is I’m not very good at jokes, so we’ll just do each other a favour and stick to what I know. Of course, it would be nice if I told you a joke, but that’s not my job and it’s something you can forgive. When you make hiring decisions, how do you differentiate necessities from nice-to-haves? Do you have a recruitment strategy that focuses on what is important? Or does your HR have to be good at jokes?

Why your Recruitment Strategy needs to be Spot-on.

Hiring the right people for your organisation is an integral part of your success and it is often among the most difficult things to execute. Judging a person’s character is a challenging exercise, even when they’re sitting right in front of you. According to Malcolm Gladwell in his book Talking to Strangers, we only have a 50% chance of getting it right. It is more difficult when the hiring process is remote.

There are many things to consider beyond matching skills when hiring a candidate, with things such as the candidate being a culture fit just as important. An excellent recruitment strategy should reflect this. A good team needs an established rhythm and hiring someone who doesn’t fit into that rhythm can wreck your team’s performance.

Leverage a Winning Recruitment Strategy with Spot!

The key to getting things right is having a recruitment strategy that prioritises the qualities you want in an ideal candidate and highlights them. That is exactly what you get with our custom recruitment tool. Spot! helps you cut down on recruitment time with a streamlined process that focuses on the qualities and skills that are important to you.

With Spot! recruiters can handle the full recruitment process; from creating job listing, sharing, reviewing applications, to communicating with candidates. You can also create and manage all your job listings in one place.

Setting up a recruiter account in Spot! allows you to generate your own domain link which can be shared on websites, social media platforms, LinkedIn, etc., and job seekers will easily be able to apply for any or all the available job openings. This means that when applicants click your link, they only see your postings and you don’t have to compete with other companies for talent.

I still feel a little bad about not being able to tell you that joke, but one thing I can certainly help you with is an excellent recruitment strategy.
