FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEW HAVEN, CT, August 21, 2023 — Primordial Labs Inc, the AI company transforming the way warfighters interact with complex systems, announced today the award of a milestone contract that will put Anura, the company’s Tactical AI Assistant, into the hands of special operators to make it easier for them to control drones during combat missions. The Direct to Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant will be awarded in the format of an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) with the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC). This contract will propel Primordial Labs’ groundbreaking AI Assistant product, Anura, to new heights in supporting warfighters through a human-centric interface for controlling unmanned systems. Using Anura, soldiers can verbally command drones and other robotic systems to execute complex reconnaissance missions autonomously.

Under this agreement, Primordial Labs will deliver prototype kits for multiple, fielded Group-1 small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) platforms over the next 18 months. With Anura, warfighters can efficiently and safely execute multi-platform intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions while reducing the training burden and complexity presented by platform-specific ground control stations.

“We are thrilled and honored to have been awarded this contract with USASOC,” said Lee Ritholtz, CEO of Primordial Labs. “This partnership represents a significant milestone for Primordial Labs and showcases our commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions that are economically efficient and built for ease of use.”

Primordial Labs’ success in securing this contract represents a landmark accomplishment in the company’s growth in the defense technology sector. Through this program and internal funding, Primordial Labs will integrate on multiple program-of-record sUAS platforms throughout the rest of 2023. This falls in line with the company’s overall strategy of offering maximum flexibility to defense customers, delivering Anura’s capability on trusted platforms that soldiers already use and rely on.

“We are excited to leverage this opportunity to further develop and scale the Anura platform, ensuring our armed forces have access to the latest advancements in autonomy while keeping the human operator front and center in our design efforts.” Ritholtz said.

Primordial Labs projects a Version 1.0 production release date for Anura: Tactical AI Assistant in Q4 2023. Primordial Labs is offering advance orders for Anura Licenses for national security customers; the licenses will cover various program of record Group-1 sUAS platforms, including several on the Defense Innovation Unit’s Blue UAS List.
