Recognized as Semifinalist at the UNLEASHED America Conference, Employment & Labor Law Compliance Technology Company VirgilHR Continues to See Customer Growth

GAITHERSBURG, MD — Employment and labor law compliance technology company VirgilHR was recognized as one of 5 semifinalists at the UNLEASH America startup pitch competition in Las Vegas.
For a decade, UNLEASH has been ground zero for startups, scaleups, breakthrough technologies, and global innovators shaping the HR industry. UNLEASH has actively grown its startup program into the biggest HR Technology community for next-generation technology, disrupting the HR professional’s work.
The UNLEASH Startup competition selected only five startups to compete in the semi-finals from the complete list of over 150 startup exhibitors at UNLEASH America 2023. These five companies had the opportunity to pitch their products and visions before an expert panel of judges, followed by seven minutes of feedback and questions from the panel.
CEO and founder Jocelyn King, SHRM-SCP, represented VirgilHR during the pitch competition, where she was excited for the chance to compete against so many amazing HR technology startups.
“Having the opportunity to showcase what we’re doing at VirgilHR in front of some incredible judges, and an audience deeply familiar with HR tech, was a highlight of our UNLEASH experience. We’re experiencing growth at a tremendous pace and appreciated being able to share that with the HR community,” says King.
In February, VirgilHR announced that it closed a $1.5M pre-seed funding round backed by Squadra Ventures, Techstars, SHRMLabs, and TEDCO. Following this round of funding, the company has continued to see significant customer adoption and is working with HR teams in various industries, including technology and construction.
