Ape Escape On The Loose PSP

PlayStation Trophies are coming to our old games, and I’m here for that!

Tuesday, May 23, Sid Shuman, Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Senior Director of Content Communications, wrote on the PlayStation Blog, “Will original PlayStation and PSP games from the PlayStation Plus classic game catalog offer trophies? Some original PlayStation and PSP titles may offer trophies such as Ape Escape, Hot Shots Golf, IQ Intelligent Qube, and Syphon Filter. This feature is optional for developers,” in an article about the all-new PlayStation Plus service.

Sony adding PSN Trophies to older games is excellent for the PlayStation fans and for players who hadn’t gotten a chance to experience those games as they were a few decades ago.

For Sony, this is a step in the right direction for the preservation of gaming — which they have been lacking from the start of the PlayStation 4. (Push Square has a great on the subject of preservation).

What are your thoughts on PlayStation adding trophies to their older titles? Let us know in the comments below!
