Winter Sunrise, Western Ghats, Kerala, India

The state of Kerala is called as “God’s own country” and rightly so. I spent almost a month in a village near Palakkad for an Ayurvedic rejuvenation and it was the best spent time the whole year of 2015. Western Ghats are the mountain range that go from the South West of India to the North West of India. Palakkad is a city that is in the Gap of Western Ghats.

The photographic opportunities were amazing but I was enjoying the long wonderful massages, I missed quite a few :) This was the view from my room where I stayed and pretty much everyday. Except that there is always so much haze, you never see the mountains in the background.

And one fine morning, I woke up to see mountains all around and I jumped to grab my camera to capture the golden rays of light.

If you get a chance to visit India, Kerala and the Western Ghats are a must see place.
