Fearless Collective’s ‘Sustenance’

Founded by artist Shilo Shiv Suleman Fearless collective is a collective of visual artists, filmmakers, and activists who create art to speak out against gender violence. Keeping with the theme, they brought to Sassoon, ‘Sustenance’. ‘Sustenance’ started with a workshop where women from the dockyard were invited into ships, a place they are traditionally forbidden from. On the boats, they held a workshop for the women where they spoke about what sustains them. The workshop continued with a screening for these women at The Sassoon Dock Art Project.

The outcome of this workshop has been translated into a mural on two walls at Sassoon Dock. Here is a look at the creation of ‘Sustenance’
