After Sunday morning worship at the Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas I drove on a glorious Sunday afternoon to Dallas. Today I completed a life-long bucket list dream. I visited the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. I have now visited all the Presidential libraries! Every President since Herbert Hoover has one! I can’t even describe the power of the 9/11 exhibit with the mangled Steel from the World Trade Center. Surrounding the steel are the names of everyone who died that horrific day. As I walked, read and observed all the displays in the museum I came away with a different take on our 43 President. Throughout the museum was clear references to faith, service and yes baseball! I did experience something at this museum I have not seen anywhere else. A video on humor hosted by the Bush daughters. It was really funny. In it President Bush makes great fun of himself. Maybe we need more of this with our political climate. Enough said.
