Memcached

After Redis, we got feedback from developers that they loved the one-click deploy option but would also love to seeMemcached, a super powerful tool, added to our App Store! So here we are… We are excited to announce that Memcached is now added to our App Store.

If you are not familiar with this app, Memcached, in technical terms, is a general-purpose distributed memory caching system. Developers use it to boost the response times of their applications. Memcached does this by caching big datasets in RAM reducing the traffic to and from databases to read data.

How does Redis differ from Memcached? To keep it simple, Redis is used for applications with smaller datasets while Memcached is used for large ones.

Interesting fact; Memcached is utilized by Youtube, Facebook, and Reddit ;)

You can now deploy the app by going to app.stackos.io, clicking on Upgrade, buying some compute resources with STACK and going to App Store. Here look for Memcached, quickly launch an unstoppable game to have some fun in between, and deploy in one click!
