With StackOS V2 and the DAO phase 1 release coming in Q1 2023, the time has come to announce an update regarding the Node Program. In order to reward community members for governing in the DAO, the yield for nodes participating in the yield program will go to zero but we have exciting plans to make up for it:
The team will make sure no STACK gets left behind in the nodes and will lower the monthly subscription fee significantly. In addition to this, we have some amazing updates regarding the use of Node NFTs in the DAO to increase rewards for governance participants.
STACK unlockable from the node NFTs
The monthly subscription fee will be lowered to $1. This makes it very affordable for subscribed and non-subscribed node NFTs to reach the 4th-month cycle after which the withdrawal tax will be 0%.
For example, a community member who has a node NFT that currently is not subscribed can start paying the monthly fee of $1. At the end of the third month, he will be able to make the final payment for the fourth cycle which lowers the withdrawal tax to 0%. After that, the accumulated STACK rewards will be free to claim.
DAO earnings
The first phase of the DAO is currently being worked on and will include:
- Governance pool to stake STACK | Options to stake with notice period for higher rewards and voting power
- Earn rewards for staking STACK and participation in governance
- Vote interface
Nodes, a vital part of the DAO phase 2
Right after the release of the first phase of the DAO the development of the second phase will start. This phase brings another exciting utility for the Node NFTs. Governance participants can level up by locking Node NFTs to earn higher yield and unlock very exciting rewards and perks.
