Conclusion

From reviewing the original ‘Piles’ patent created back in 1992, to doing our own investigative research on Stacks, we were quick to realize that Apple did not include all of the ideas that were first proposed back in the original design. There could be countless reasons for this and anything beyond this point would be pure speculation, but what we can gain from our research is that by looking to the past we can see why some designs flourished and why others failed, we can expand on great ideas that have already been discovered. Because while the feature of ‘Stacks’ may have just been released here in 2018, the idea behind it has been around for much longer.
