Introducing Stageverse Avatar Fashion Studio, with Stable Diffusion AI
Today, we’re excited to launch the Stageverse Avatar Fashion Studio, with Stable Diffusion integration! Now, the Stageverse community can let their imaginations run wild with infinite variations of style for their avatars.
Stable Diffusion, along with DALLE-2 and Midjourney have revolutionized the digital design and art communities over the past several months, and now we’re proud to be the first to bring AI text-to-image generation to 3D avatar fashion.
For those who haven’t explored text-to-image AI generators yet, the quick primer is that you enter several keyword prompts and then the AI will generate beautiful imagery related to those words. This is revolutionary technology that is changing the way digital art will be sourced and created for good. While it is early days with the technology, it is already allowing countless people to unlock new design inspiration and assets that they can use personally or for their business.
How our AI Avatar Fashion Studio works
Let’s dive into how Stable Diffusion AI works with our Stageverse avatars! The integration is currently available on our web product and can be access at stageverse.com/app, and coming soon on iOS and Android.
Here are the steps to take to create and share your very first AI powered avatar fashion!
- Once into the app click through the flow to Create Avatar and enter the edit “Clothes” section
- Select the garment of clothing you’d like to design and click “Edit”
- Click the button that says “AI” and that will bring you to the Stable Diffusion prompt.
- Enter whatever you can imagine into the AI prompt field and click “Create.” The AI will then take up to 20 seconds to generate the pattern. Note, that some prompts will return an error, particularly if it detects it to be NSFW. If that happens, then try another prompt :)
- Once the pattern is generated, you can then scale and reposition the it so it looks just right on the garment.
- Let your imagination run wild and try a few different prompts for the AI. You can also choose to tile or individually apply the image generated.
- Finally, share your fashion with friends on social and jump into Stageverse with your completely original fashion design!
We’ll be checking out every avatar that is shared on social and selecting our favorites to be featured in the Stageverse marketplace. You can create as many different styles as you like, so be sure to share out to the world!
AI and the future of Fashion in the Metaverse
Our integration with Stable Diffusion marks the beginning of what is a new age in fashion in 3D experiences online (aka the metaverse). This is a new frontier for artists, whereby the power may come in the ability to effectively write prompts, more so than the ability to wield a paintbrush or mouse.
This is not to say that exceptional artists are going anywhere, as there will always be a place for truly original and unique art. That said, we will see a new form of artist emerge that is a master of words and prompts, creating increasingly interesting, and engaging pieces of art.
Furthermore, there will be many new questions to answer regarding IP ownership as much of the artwork generated by Stable Diffusion and other AI-engines is inspired by real artists’ work and related styles. We are going to see rapid evolution and iteration in this space over the coming months and years and we’ve only just scratched the surface today.
