Introducing Stairway for Schools
Stairway exists to inspire students in STEM, and provide equal access to world-class education. We believe that learning can be more effective and more enjoyable through technology, for both teachers and students.
Today, we’re delighted to take another step towards this mission, with the launch of Stairway for Schools! Teachers can now set any assignment on Stairway for students, and automatically see their progress, for free.
Problem
Teachers spend up to 50% of their working week on administrative tasks, including planning, marking, collecting and logging students’ work. As a result, we’ve heard many personal stories, which illustrate the lack of time available for the most important things: teaching and connecting with the next generation of learners.
Introducing Stairway for Schools
We launched Stairway for students earlier this year. Since launching, we’ve helped students achieve significantly better grades in their GCSEs. As a result, many teachers have asked how they can integrate Stairway into the classroom.
Building on our recent funding round and the great feedback from our existing product, we’re excited to announce the launch of Stairway for Schools! It exists to remove administrative burden for teachers, while also improving the learning experience for students.
So what can it do?
Teachers can now create classrooms and set any lesson on Stairway for students, and automatically view their progress, for free. A few of the benefits:
1. Create classrooms in under 1 minute. We’ve simplified the process of creating virtual classrooms, so you can set an assignment in under 1 minute. We’ve removed all the hassle, so you can focus on what matters.
2. Set assignments and view progress, automatically. Set any lesson on Stairway as a task for your students. Students will see it appear in their Stairway dashboard, and via email. You’ll see when they’ve completed it, and see their scores, all marked automatically.
3. Use Stairway on any device. You can use Stairway for Schools on desktop, tablet and mobile. Wherever you are, you can be sure that Stairway is with you.
4. Take advantage of pre-written, expert content. Stairway has produced content aligning to UK exam boards alongside subject matter experts, to be engaging and effective for learners.
