In this article we will show you how to stake $UMEE tokens. Right now we’re working on getting on the list of active validators. Soon you will be able to stake your tokens on the StakeService validator! For now, here is a manual on how to do that.

To start you should have Keplr wallet. We are using the Google Chrome extension. If you don’t have an account in Keplr, make it. Here you can read the short guide on how to do it.

1 Open your Keplr wallet and change network on Umee

Deposit some $UMEE tokens on your address. Then click on “Stake” in the right corner. It will redirect you to a full version of the app.

2 It will automatically show you validators for Umee, but if it doesn’t, choose Umee in the list of projects on the left. Find the StakeService validator, click “Manage” and then “Delegate”.

Enter the amount of tokens you want to stake, click “Delegate” and approve the transaction in your wallet.

Staking will lock your funds for 14+ days. You will need to undelegate in order for your staked assets to be liquid again. This process will take 14 days to complete

That’s it! Pretty simple!
