This article will summarize every upcoming lockdrop-related events, and act as a reference point for the community of Plasm Network.

Multi-Lockdrop introduction
The total supply of Plasm token is not decided at the genesis. Technically speaking, it is determined at the 3rd lockdrop. There are two reasons why we do lockdrops three times. First, if the Plasm distributes all the remaining tokens at once and there are not enough participants, it may be possible for a malicious attacker to get the majority supply in the Plasm Network, opening up for various potential attacks. Second, we intend to expand the Plasm network step by step by maintaining fairness.
Plasm Testnet (Dusty)
Plasm test network launched in 2019 Q4 is an experimental network for community integration and Plasm public tests. These are our plans regarding the testnet lockdrops. This network will use Ethereum and Bitcoin testnets for locks.
- ETH, Dusty Genesis Lockdrop: held on Testnet in December 2019.
- ETH/BTC, Dusty 2nd Lockdrop: planned launch in July 2020.
- ETH/BTC, Dusty 3rd Lockdrop: planned launch in 2020 Q4.
Plasm Mainnet
Plasm Main Network, also known as the Plasm Network is a scaling Dapps platform and a Layer 2 scalability solution developed on Substrate. We will implement all (hopefully) layer2 solutions on Plasm Network and Plasma is the first one!
The mainnet is scheduled to be launched on May 1st, 2020.

- ETH Genesis Lockdrop held from March 15th, 2020 to April 13th, 2020.
- ETH/BTC Lockdrop planned to be held from August 1~10th, 2020 to September, 2020.
- ETH/BTC Lockdrop planned to be held from 4Q 2020.
- DOT Auction Lockdrop planned to be held in 2020 Q4*.
*) The DOT auction will depend on Polkadot’s launch schedule.
