With this brief article, we would like to quickly inform you about some temporary issues you might experience when using the Stakenet DEX. We are in the process of fixing these, however, the issues documented in the following can sometimes occur.

Q: The Lightning Network (LN) graph for BTC / LTC / XSN is not working correctly?

A: Close your wallet. Go to your task manager and check if any lnd_btc/ lnd_ltc or lnd_xsn processes are still running. If this is the case, close them all manually. Then reopen the wallet, it should work now again.

Q: The orderbook is not loading properly?

A: Switch the Trading pair in the DEX tab, then switch back to your initially chosen pair. The orderbook should now be shown correctly.

Q: My connext ETH channel and all the funds in it disappeared. What should I do now?

A: Check the channel tab. There is a button now to restore the channel. Click on this one and wait 1–2 minutes. Please note: The connext channel is tied to the ETH private key (no backup is necessary except the seed phrase).

Q: After restarting I can’t see my off-chain balances?

A: This is because the required LNDs need to be synced after opening the wallet to show the current off-chain amount. For LNDs to be synced, they need to be chosen as a trading pair in the DEX or go to Wallets > Select Your Preferred Asset > Channels and click “Open Lightning + / Open Connext +”.

Q: LND is pending forever, what can I do?

A: If this is not your first time using this wallet, you can try to switch pairs or close and reopen the wallet. Please note: the initial LND sync, especially for BTC takes some minutes. However, we are already trying to speed up the process.

Q: The chosen DEX pair is shown as offline?

A: Most likely you are missing a channel. Remember: You need your own channel of the currency you want to sell, and “can receive balance” (=channel rental) of the currency you want to buy. In this case, the user has to rent a BTC channel to be able to trade. Check out this video on how to create a channel and this video on how to rent a channel.

Q: There is a “no route to the hub found. Please check your BTC setup” error. What should I do?

A: The hub is offline for maintenance when this error shows up and will be improved once there are more hubs online. You will not lose access to your funds on L1 or L2 as the MCLW is a completely self-custodial wallet.
