October 2020 Retrospective

It was all about community and development for StakerDAO this month. Our second quarterly community call was held on October 15th, and made a big buzz around the launch for Wrapped Algorand that is coming soon. Also, a major proposal was approved by the Council.

StakerDAO’s second community call

The StakerDAO Council was on a Zoom call that included a live broadcast on YouTube. During the call, Christian Arita, gave an overview of the state of StakerDAO, and an update on all StakerDAO products (live and in development).

After these updates, and before a live AMA, our council members and representatives had the floor, and talked about different topics in DeFi:

• Spencer Noon — Governance & Fair Launches
• Nicola Santoni — Proof of Staker Landscape
• Jacob Phillips — The Cross-Chain Future

Proposal 008 — StakerDAO 2.0 and Wrapped Tezos

The eighth proposal submitted by the Staker Operations team (Ops) based on STKR token holder feedback was very exciting. The purpose of this proposal was to introduce two major developments to the StakerDAO ecosystem, STKR 2.0 (STKR) and Wrapped Tezos (wXTZ). It also explored an addition to the Blend token management process. The Council approved this proposal with 4/5 votes.

We know there is an increasing interest in STKR tokens, so we decided to create this signup form to update you once we have more information. Stay tuned!
