Step 1: Set up your Ledger Nano S and Install Ledger Live

  • If you have already set up a Ledger Nano S you can directly jump to Step 2, otherwise set up your Ledger Nano S by starting here: https://www.ledger.com/start
    Follow step one and two.

Step 2: Install the Harmony app on Ledger Nano S

  • Open the Manager Tab in your Ledger Live application and sign in with your pin to unlock your Ledger Nano S.
  • Unfortunately the Harmony One App is not directly available in the main App catalogue.
To install it we must enable the Developer Mode by opening settings.
  • Now we open the Tab Experimental features.
  • Here we activate the Developer Mode.
  • After going back to Manager we can search for the Harmony One App and install it.

Step 3: Open the Harmony App and sign in to your wallet

  • Open the Harmony App on the Ledger Nano S, it should show Waiting for commands
  • Chose the option Use Ledger Nano
  • Click Sign In
  • A window will show up, choose your Ledger Nano S and select Connect
  • Congratulations! You created your Harmony One Wallet on your Ledger Nano S and it shows you your One address. By clicking on your address, it will copy your address so you can paste it easily.

Step 4: Add ONE to your wallet

  • You can withdraw your ONE from your exchange like Binance or buy it directly at Transak. We suggest sending a minimum of 101 ONE to your wallet and putting 100 ONE into staking so you always have 1 ONE available for transaction fees.
  • Just wait a couple seconds and your amount will show up in your Portfolio

Step 5: Delegate your ONE to a validator

  • Make sure you are still logged into your Ledger Nano S and still have the Harmony App open. Otherwise log in again as described in Step 3. After you log in, it shows the Validator Tab.
  • Search for Stakeridoo and click on it
  • Now press Delegate
  • Now you can enter the amount of ONE you want to delegate and click next. Make sure you still have some ONE in your wallet for transaction fees.
  • Now press Confirm and sign and move over to your Legder
  • The Ledger Nano S shows you your address, the address of the validator and amount, verify and sign the transaction. To verify the validator address you can compare it with the address in the URL.
  • Congratulations, you have successfully delegated your ONE

Step 6: Enjoy your rewards

  • To see your staked ONE’s you can click on the tab Portfolio
  • From time to time you can claim your rewards and after collecting 100 ONE you can delegate them again to a validator and earn more rewards
  • Undelegation will take 7 Epochs (Around 5 days). After one Epoch of undelegation you can redelegate to another validator.
  • You can calculate your estimated rewards here:

Issues & FAQs:

  • Make sure your browser tab has an icon that means the ledger is properly connected.
  • Q: I sent all ONE into staking and cannot claim my rewards.
A: You need at least 1 ONE in your wallet for transaction fees. In case you have nothing on the exchange you can let us know and we will send you ONE.
  • Q: I received an insufficient balance message, but still have 1 ONE for the transaction fees.
A: Try Signing out and in again, it’s possibly you are not correctly signed in.
  • Q: After typing in the amount and pressing next my Ledger does not ask to confirm.
A: Try signing out and in again, it’s possible your USB connection was lost or timed out for safety.
  • Q: I cannot Log into my Wallet
A: It’s possible when you tried to sign in, the Ledger was not connected to your Tab or the Harmony App was not opened and it showed you “Access denied to use Ledger device”. Close the Tab, try again and make sure you have opened the app and connected to your browser.
  • Q: Where can I see all my rewards I earned and collected?
    A: https://harmony.smartstake.io/rewards/YOURONEADDRESS
  • Q: Can I see directly what Fee and uptime the Validators have?
A: We suggest https://harmony.smartstake.io/ to select your favourite Validator
  • Q: Does it make sense to split my ONE to several validators?
A: It could make sense if one goes offline you will not get any further rewards. So you can split it or check from time to time and redelegate to another validator.
  • Q: How will you ensure that you provide the best service?
A: We have a stable build up network based on our well selected hardware, fibre internet connection with a 4G back up option and uninterruptible power supply.
