How to stake $OSMO?
In this article we’ll show you how to stake your Osmosis coins.
Let’s move to Keplr. After refunding of your wallet you’ll see your available balance on Osmosis’s dashboard.
Choose any validator you want, but we recommend you to stake to a validator which is not in the top to prevent centralization. You could stake to a multiple validators — it’ll also support network and decentralization. Also some airdrops requires for delegation to non top validator!
“Manage” and then “Delegate”.
Take into account that staking will lock your funds for 14 days! Then choose the amount of your delegation and stake your assets.
Select the transaction fee. The difference is only in the transfer speed of your transaction.
In case you’re not satisfied with chosen validator — you always have an “Undelegate” or “Redelegate” option. Go to Keplr and visit Cosmos’s dashboard. At the bottom of the screen you’ll see a list of your validators.
Chose the one that doesn’t meet your requirements, click “Manage” and then “Undelegate” or “Redelegate”. Algorithm is the same with delegation. Only redelegation differs — you’ll need to choose another validator.
To automatize collecting your rewards we advise you to connect REStake. This is a more convenient way to stake your coins.
Go to REStake app, connect your Keplr wallet and choose Osmosis network.
It’ll automatically detect your validator.
Click on “Manage” button and chose “Enable REStake”.
We’re done! Now there is no need for daily tracking of your wallet and collecting rewards — REStake will do it for you.
