Opera Browser now supports Web3 with Solana, Polygon, StarkEx integration
Opera, once forgotten amidst the relentless growth of Chromium based browsers like Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome and Firefox, has announced new support for several major blockchain networks, including Solana, Polygon, StarkEx, Ronin, Celo, Nervos, IXO and Bitcoin on its crypto native browser.
It’s now repositioning itself to be trendy again, thanks to its native Web3 integration, allowing its users to benefit from thousands of decentralized applications.
Alongside its Web3 integration, the Crypto Browser allows users to browse securely with its free VPN, Ad Blocker and Tracker Blocker built right into the browser.
Users can access cryptocurrencies and sign into dApps without installing any extensions.
Opera’s integration is a step forward to the continued democratisation of Web 3.0 technologies to the billions of users globally. By onboarding low cost blockchains into the mix, while remaining chain agnostic, it is accelerating crypto’s adoption into the mainstream.
We are extremely hopeful that one day we’ll see crypto wallets, NFTs and dApps natively integrated in our daily lives in the next evolution of the web.
