Setting up Metamask for Gnosis Chain (formerly xDAI)

The Gnosis Chain is a stable payments Ethereum Virtual Machine compatible blockchain designed for fast (5s finality) and inexpensive transactions ($0.01).

The chain uses a unique dual-token model where xDai is used for transactions, payments, and fees. It is the only blockchain where transaction fees are pegged to a stable currency (i.e USD).
