Setting up Metamask for Klatyn Network

Klaytn is a public blockchain focused on the metaverse, gamefi, and the creator economy. It is enterprise-ready with high TPS, low latency, near-instant finality, and customizable Service Chains which are custom blockchain solutions anchored to Klaytn’s mainnet.

In this guide, we show you how you can easily configure and add Klatyn Network to Metamask.

Pre-requisites

• MetaMask extension installed on the browser
• At least one wallet created or imported

Connecting MetaMask to Klatyn

Switch the connected blockchain by clicking on the tab saying Main Ethereum Network, we need to add Klatyn Network.

Scroll down until you find Add Network.

Enter in the settings as follows:

• Network name: Klatyn Mainnet
• RPC URL: https://public-node-api.klaytnapi.com/v1/cypress
• Chain ID: 8217
• Currency: KLAY
• Explorer: https://scope.klaytn.com

Click Save.

You have now connected to the Klatyn Mainnet with your Metamask Wallet! You can now access the Klaytn ecosystem of games, DeFi, and dApps.

Transactions on the Klatyn Mainnet requires KLAY which will be used as gas fee.
