PancakeSwap is big on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) — according to their docs, they are building an automated market maker (AMM) similar to Uniswap that allows any two tokens to be exchanged, with some added gamification features on top of it.
BSC is fast, cheap, makes it easy for anyone to participate, which makes their community also one of the fastest-growing in this space.
In this guide, we will show you how to participate in yield farming on Pancakeswap and farm CAKE tokens while contributing liquidity.
Create and connect to the BSC mainnet
The first step is to create a BSC compatible wallet to start farming.
You’ll also need some BNB tokens to start which you can get from Binance and transfer out into the BSC network. Transfer those tokens into your wallet and make sure you select the BSC network.
