Stand Up Republic Signs onto letter Supporting New Congressional Rule to Combat Corruption

On September 5th, Stand Up Republic joined with multiple pro-democracy and government ethics organizations urging Congress to pass House Resolution 1043. That resolution would change House rules to prohibit members and officers of Congress from serving on corporate boards.

In the wake of recent insider trading indictments against Congressman Collins, it is clear that something must be done to prevent conflicts of interest and corruption. Stand Up Republic is proud to support this important reform measure and we urge Congress to act now.
