Standard Protocol Bi-weekly Updates (Jul 20— Aug 02)
As the market is coming back in the last two weeks, the Standard Team is also accelerating the tech and product development to expand our multi-chain presence. There are a lot of innovative ideas and hot debates within the team from GameFi to multiple new listings, and we can’t wait to share more with our community soon.
Technical Development
- Standard is now on Polygon! This will be one of the historical moments of Standard Protocol in moving towards being a truly chain-agnostic project. The new generation stablecoin will be ready for the Polygon community very soon.
- We are currently internally testing parachain compatible testnet, codename “Barocco”, which we will use for our own deployment of parachain/parathread, allowing us to test changes faster and be fully compatible with Rococo. Once we pass internal testing we will open up this testnet to allow other teams to join. Look out for further announcements!
- Opportunity testnet has been reset with a new state — this allowed us to perform upgrades which are not compatible without a full chain reset. We’ve learned a lot from the first iteration of Opportunity, and we will be taking these lessons forward.

Marketing, Events & Community
- Launched our new channel — “The State of DeFi”. We will share more interesting contents about DeFi and everything behind the scenes! First episode featured one of Standard’s investors, Allen Que, Founder of WeBlock. Allen spoke about why WeBlock decided to invest in Standard, which are — the amazing founding team, the vision and the innovative concept behind. - Up next, we will be featuring our team members on Team Series.
- We have won the Grand Finale of the Polkastarter CS:GO Tournament hosted by ExceededMe! 🏆 Those were some very intense and exciting matches, and we showcased our great teamwork again. 50% of the tournament prize will be given to Gamers Outreach.
