Say hi to Tasha Welch!

How long have you been at Stanza and what about the business has changed since you arrived?

I’ve been at Stanza for over a year and I would say one of the changes is the roles we have been hiring of late. When I started we were a little more scrappy and now we are growing out teams and hiring for roles that will help us become a stronger, more streamlined company.

What’s your title and who do you work most closely with?

My title is “Customer Success Manager”. I work with pretty much every employee at Stanza. I work with Product to help give feedback from our users and clients, Engineering to help manage projects or issue patterns that arise, and the Business Development team to help keep them updated on where client issues stand.

What are your primary responsibilities at Stanza?

Making sure our end-users and major clients are happy.

What were you doing before you came to Stanza?

A year before coming to Stanza I was living in Boston working as an EA/Program Coordinator. I love Boston but had always wanted to live out west and experience something different!

What’s the biggest challenge you face on a regular basis?

There is always something to work on, so at first it was overwhelming trying to keep up with everything but once you get into a groove it’s fun how fast everything moves around here.

What’s the best part about working at a startup?

My favorite part has been all the areas of the company you get to touch. I was fortunate enough to be able to work on five areas of the company when I first started and then discover I loved helping our customers and clients the most and eventually move into my current role.

What are three words that describe working at a startup?

Hectic. Evolving. Fulfilling.

What’s your dream job and can you please call me when you get it?

Traveling the world and trying out places to eat…you know like those people all over your Instagram feed. Or an interior designer — I love picking out furniture and helping people put together a home they’re proud of.

What’s possible at Stanza in the next few years?

I would love to see Stanza build out an app where people can discover events in their area, buy tickets for and attend said events.

New version of Stanza.co is live — add your favorite team’s schedule to your calendar and you’re synced for life! We support Google, iCal, Outlook, and Yahoo. We’re also moving into verticals outside of sports including movies, TV, music and entertainment.

What’s the most memorable event — sports, theater, celebration, music, whatever — you’ve ever attended and why?

Watching the Croatia-England 2018 World Cup Semi-finals in Dubrovnik. I was there with my four sisters and we were sitting in a crowd with thousands of Croatians and the atmosphere was amazing. I am not even a huge soccer fan, but this was quite an experience!

Croatia — a nation of just over 4 million people — made the men’s World Cup final this past summer. They lost to a powerhouse France (population 65 million) squad in the final.

And now for some fun….

What’s a book or TV show or movie you plan on reading or watching?

I have heard great things about Handmaid’s Tale, so would love to watch that at some point, but need to steal someone’s Hulu account info…

The Handmaid’s Tale — a Hulu original TV show — won 2 Golden Globes this year. It’s based on the acclaimed Margaret Atwood novel (Image via Harper’s Bazaar).

What do you love on your pizza?

Some freshhhh Burrata.

Weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?

Guinea pig when I was in Peru also ate some pig stomach which I was not a fan of.

Favorite sports team?

So big fan of some teams, but Tennis (and skiing) are my favorites and I love following Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic.

Serena Williams is arguably the most dominant female athlete of all time and quite possibly the most dominant athlete period (Image via Metro.co.uk).

Favorite band or artist?

Not sure I have a favorite. I like a variety of artists from Kanye, to LANY, to MJ.

Favorite lyrics?

“But tell me, did you sail across the sun? Did you make it to the Milky Way. To see the lights all faded. And that heaven is overrated? Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star? One without a permanent scar. And did you miss me. While you were looking for yourself?”

If you could master one instrument what would it be?

Drumming. I think I would love it.

What country in the world would you love to visit?

I would love to go to Egypt and see the pyramids. I love all things historical!
