The State of The Story

Speaker: Megan Cunningham, Founder/CEO of Magnet Media

6:30pm. For those trying to navigate the fragmentation of traditional media, we can look to all creators — filmmakers, brands and media companies — who are inventing a new kind of storytelling. Some of these elements we already know: storytelling needs to be more social, more mobile, more visual and more authentic. But for monetization to be sustained, a new frontier of cross-platform storytelling is also emerging.

The most successful players are embracing emerging trends — like podcasts, purpose-driven narratives, and influencer collaboration — to build audience, and improve engagement. “The power of a well-told story distributed in a strategic way can change minds and overturn industries; and the playbook is being written today.” Join us to hear about the new possibilities — and business potential — for storytelling.
