Introducing the Voter Lottery System:

***Notice: As of September 17th, 2019 the lottery has been placed on hold. We plan to bring it back in the future when the value is more significant and with a revised drawing system. In the meantime, the 10% allocated for the lottery has been added to our base voter rewards.

We greatly value our voters and see each of you as a partner, no matter what the size of your ELA stack may be. While static and predictable rewards are the bedrock of our reward structure, we’ve decided to “gamify” a percentage of our revenue and greatly reward one randomly selected voter each month in order to provide a fun non-vanilla reward structure.

How can I play?

All voters who cast votes for Starfish Supernode, and maintain those votes for the entire month, will be automatically entered into a monthly drawing. Each vote you cast for our team will increase your odds of winning. If you’re the lucky winner, you will be rewarded with 10% of our node’s total DPoS reward for that month!

But how do you ensure everyone plays fair?

JSON dumps will be collected from our Azure node server throughout the course of the month, from which voter wallet addresses and the number of votes cast for Starfish Supernode will be parsed and recorded. Only the wallet addresses that have maintained their votes for the entire month will be entered into the random drawing. This audit system is intended to reward honesty, and prevent those who seek to game the system from running off with your reward. Please note that each wallet address will be weighted according to the number of votes cast for our team over the course of that month. Spinning up thousands of wallet address will not help you win.

How do we know you’re playing fair?

We have envisioned realistic checks and balances to ensure fairness and transparency. Firstly, we love winning things as much as you do, but Starfish Supernode team members will NOT be eligible to win this reward. In the interest of impartiality we have created a script to determine the winner each month; this script will be made available to the public for review. The drawing event will also be recorded using video capture software and linked to our official Twitter account (@StarfishSN) for our voters to view. And finally, the long awaited moment has arrived! The the winner have their ELA reward sent to the same wallet address that they used to vote for the Starfish Supernode!
