Origins and Motivation

The Jokers of Neon team, led by @nico_n44 and @jonatanChaverri, shared insights about their project. This team has an impressive track record of developing and shipping multiple games across the Starknet ecosystem.

“With each project we’ve worked on, we’ve gained valuable insights and experience. Jokers of Neon represents the culmination of all we’ve learned, allowing us to push the boundaries of what’s possible in on-chain gaming.”

Gameplay and Winning Strategy

Jokers of Neon combines on-chain mechanics with accessibility. The game is mobile-friendly and free to play, lowering entry barriers while leveraging blockchain advantages.

“Our goal is to attract a wide audience to blockchain gaming”, Nico explained.

“To win, you need to build a strong deck and play strategically,” Jonatan elaborated. “Each card choice matters, from Special cards to Jokers and Neon cards. The key is to create synergies aned adapt your strategy as you progress through levels and face the challenging Rage Rounds.”

Team and Contributions

For those looking to contribute, the team welcomes community involvement. “The best way to help right now is to reach out to us directly,” Jonatan revealed. “We’re always open to new ideas and collaborations. Whether you’re a player with feedback, a developer with technical expertise, or someone passionate about blockchain gaming, don’t hesitate to connect with us.”

EthCC Demo Launch

The team shared their exhilarating experience of showcasing the game during EthCC. “It was nerve-wracking but incredibly rewarding,” Nico recalled. “Seeing players engage with our game over the weeks was incredibly exciting.” The team also highlighted the success of community members.

Accessibility and Design

One unique aspect of Jokers of Neon is that there’s no need to connect a wallet to play. “We wanted to lower the barrier to entry for new players,” Jonatan explained. “By allowing people to jump right in without the need for a wallet, we hope to attract a wider audience to blockchain gaming.”

Regarding the game’s design, the team confirmed it was developed with a mobile-first approach. “While it looks great on desktop, we’ve optimized it for mobile play,” Nico stated. “We wanted to ensure a seamless experience across all devices.”

Future Milestones

Looking ahead, the team shared some exciting milestones. “In the next few months, we’re focusing on expanding our card library and implementing more complex game mechanics” Jonatan revealed. “We’re also exploring options to expand the game, including the possibility of adding player-versus-player (PVP) modes.”
