Starknet Joins Chainlink Labs in Partnership To Accelerate Starknet Adoption
We’re excited to announce a new partnership between StarkWare and Chainlink Labs!
We’re thrilled to have Chainlink Price Feeds available on Starknet testnet, and soon on Starknet mainnet. This initiative is an important milestone to equipping Starknet developers with industry-standard and reliable oracle services. This collaboration was enabled thanks to the tech support and expertise of SpaceShard.
In addition, Starknet will be officially joining the Chainlink SCALE (Sustainable Chainlink Access for Layer 1 and 2 Enablement) program. As part of this program, StarkNet tokens will cover certain operating costs of Chainlink oracle nodes that supply Starknet with a variety of Data Feeds and other oracle services. This initiative is aimed at accelerating the Starknet ecosystem growth and the long-term adoption of Starknet by developers and users.
With Chainlink Data Feeds live on the Starknet testnet and anticipated to launch on mainnet in the near future, the new partnership and the SCALE program will soon take effect. Ultimately, we are excited to establish a sustainable system wherein Chainlink Labs and StarkWare are aligned on expanding application development on Starknet for the long term.
Starknet is a permissionless and decentralized Validity-Rollup protocol that operates as a layer-2 scaling solution on the Ethereum mainnet. StarkNet leverages cryptographic STARK proofs to enable dApps to achieve greater levels of scalability without compromising on Ethereum’s composability and security. However, as is the case for any blockchain environment, contracts on Starknet are unable to natively access external data resources.
Chainlink is an industry-standard Web3 services platform that has enabled trillions of dollars in transaction volume across DeFi, insurance, gaming, NFTs, and other major industries. As the leading decentralized oracle network, Chainlink enables developers to build feature-rich Web3 applications with seamless access to real-world data and off-chain computation across any blockchain and provides global enterprises with a universal gateway to all blockchains.
