Although he is known for his very recognisable New School style, Josh started by occasionally doing graffiti at tattoo shows. He came across the new school style whilst at shows and was quickly exposed to the heavy outlines, mix of colours and exaggerated depictions style.

Josh has been bringing out new and interesting new school pieces every time he’s in the studio and has been doing so he started tattooing in Chelmsford in 2010. He currently works out of his own studio Four Candles Tattoo Studio.

There is no doubt that the combination of graffiti and carton with lots of colour can make for a sick piece, and this is exactly why Josh’s work makes you look twice on your news feed. His new school style is packed with fun and exciting twists which says a lot about the man himself.

They reflect my quirky, playful take on art and life in general. I believe tattoos should be fun, full of visual puns and immaculate execution.
