Starry Skies South is a chapter of the International Dark-Sky Association in the Southeastern United States, established in 2022. Our goal is to promote appreciation and conservation of starry skies across the Southeast.

In this blog, Starry Skies South members share about (i) why dark skies filled with stars matter to them, (ii) their tips for adopting dark-sky friendly lighting, (iii) their experiences engaging their local communities in dark-sky friendly practices, and (iv) their encounters with dark skies — and those who love them — across the globe.

Thank you for joining us on our journey. If you would like to follow Starry Skies South in other online spaces, please visit our website or follow us on Facebook or Instagram.
