Another Nine Wins for horror/thriller, “D-Railed,” at the New York Film Awards

“D-Railed,” the horror/thriller (starring Lance Henriksen, Frank Lammers and Shae Smolik) directed by Dale Fabrigar, is sweeping awards in the film festival circuit prior to its Aug. 6th North American release by Uncork’d Entertainment. The film is produced by Suzanne DeLaurentiis Productions.

“D-Railed” has picked up several wins in the following categories at the New York Film Awards, including Best Picture: Best Original Story, Best Cinematography, Best Narrative Feature, Best Sound Design, Best Thriller, Best Horror, and Best Ensemble. It also won Best Young Actress for the film’s star, Shae Smolik.

The judging panel at the New York Film Awards had this to say about the film:

“Unbelievable! Surprising and full of twists and turns (some of which quite deadly), D-Railed is a celebration of genres that you just want to keep going! This fantasy-horror-period feature will keep you on your toes, as you navigate through the bizarre and mysterious world the characters find themselves in. Incredible performances by the entire cast, lead by virtuoso actress, Carter Scott, and beautifully supported by Shae Smolik. Huge shout out to director Dale Fabrigar for precise directing, to cinematographer John Lazear, and the entire design team, for their fantastic work on this remarkable feature.”

The film starred James Marsden, Giovanni Ribisi, and the late Dennis Hopper.
