D-Railed continues to rack up awards on the film festival circuit
“D-Railed,” the horror/thriller (starring Lance Henriksen, Frank Lammers and Shae Smolik) directed by Dale Fabrigar, is continuing to sweep awards on the film festival circuit. It was released in North America on August 6th by Uncork’d Entertainment. The film is produced by Suzanne DeLaurentiis Productions and Regina René Lines.
The last five awards the film received were at the Hollywood Horror Fest and include:

Best Practical Creature FX
Best Production Design
Best Costume Design
Best Sound Design
D-Railed has racked up over 40+ awards on the film festival circuit, including two wins for Best Director at the Crimson Screen Horror Film Festival and the Florence Film Awards, as well as numerous wins for leading lady Carter Scott as Best Actress, the haunting cinematography of John Lazear, and for the period costume and production design.
Although D-Railed has also won many awards for Best Monster and Practical Effects, tragedy struck when on August 7th, the lead actor Phil Young who played The Creature passed away in a car accident.
“It’s been a bittersweet experience for us on this journey,” says producer Suzanne DeLaurentiis. “We will continue our film festival circuit in Europe starting in September because we know in our hearts, Phil would have wanted us to do that.”
Suzanne DeLaurentiis Productions has thirty-five years of experience in the industry shepherding the development of over 100 feature films, television features, and documentaries including the award-winning mafia drama, “10th and Wolf,” written and directed by Oscar winner Bobby Moresco. The film starred James Marsden, Giovanni Ribisi, and the late Dennis Hopper.
