Fur Fabric and Coat Design
Fur is made from furry animal skins. It is one of the oldest forms of clothing. It is among the first materials used in clothing and body decoration. It has become an indispensable option for winter months due to its warmth and durability.
In the history of fashion, when Jackie Kennedy wore Oleg Cassini’s fur coat design, fur has become an indispensable part of fashion. Then, the fashion industry produced designs in different textures and colors in accordance with the seasons. In the following periods, there were discussions about the wearing of fur coats due to concerns about animal cruelty. With the invention of cheap synthetic textiles to manufacture clothes and the risk of animal extinction, furs are nowadays mostly produced synthetically. There are now many companies looking for more sustainable ways to produce leather and fur. Designers are developing bio furs in this area.
