Every person be it Chilean or Foreigner intend to do business, must have RUN/RUT

From Start-Up Chile, you get a Temporary Resident Visa. With that you can apply for RUN

Both RUN and RUT numbers are same, but different from where they are issued. RUT is the acronym of Rol Único Tributario, and RUN the acronym Rol Único Nacional. The RUT is thus your Chilean tax ID number, while the RUN is your civil register ID number. To know the difference in detail check here

First, you need to go to Civil registry and register your details. Please make sure you give email address and phone number.

Second, you need to go to PDI (Immigration Police Department) to get provisional document containing RUN

Once you get your temporary RUN, you will get a card after some time. You can check the status of it at https://portal.sidiv.registrocivil.cl/usuarios-portal/pages/DocumentStatus.xhtml

When it is ready for delivery, you need to go Civil registry and pick up your card. In the same office in Certificates counter, request ‘Clave Unica’ which is a temporary password associated with your RUN. You need to activate your online a/c within 24 hours, which is nothing but changing your password.

You can use RUN and Password for signing CORFO agreements online.

Start-Up Chile will help you with the process in a very efficient way all along.
