World Renowned Plastic Surgeon — Dr. Miami
Michael Salzhauer M.D., better known as Dr. Miami, is a world renowned plastic surgeon with his own private cosmetic surgery facility and surgical center called the Harbour Plastic Surgery Associates. As the Chief Surgeon, he has extensive experience with procedures such as nose jobs, breast enhancements, body contouring, Brazilian Butt Lifts, botox, fillers, to name a few. Dr. Miami is one of the few plastic surgeons to be awarded the Prestigious Patients Choice Award in 2010 — which indicates that the doctor provides quality care that patients want. This award is given to the nations distinguished physicians and is rarely given to plastic surgeons. The plastic surgeon has also gained a great deal of media attention and has appeared on CBS, NBC, CNN, FOX News, The Today Show, Entertainment tonight and news outlets such as The Miami Herald, New York Times, Allure Magazine Life & Style, and more.
Dr. Miami graduated from Washington University School of Medicine and had years of training in plastic surgery techniques at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, University of Miami Medical Center, and Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American College of Surgeons as well as the American Society of Plastic Surgeon.
His passion for cosmetic surgery inspired him to expand into different outlets to share his knowledge and expertise. He wrote an internationally acclaimed children’s book called “My Beautiful Mommy.” It is the first book written to explain plastic surgery to children. This book helps mothers communicate and explain the procedure to their children. However this book has caused much controversy as glamorizing plastic surgery and suggesting that surgery will make mommy “prettier.” Dr. Miami has also invented several online and mobile applications about cosmetic surgery. Some of his successful apps include iSurgeon for Apple and Heidi Yourself and Pet Plasty for the web. The iPhone app, iSurgeon, allows users to change photos of themselves to envision how they would look like with cosmetic surgery. The online app, Heidi Yourself allows users to transform themselves with any of the cosmetic surgeries that reality TV star, Heidi Montag, has performed. Lastly, Pet Plasty is an online app that enables users to alter images of their pets. Dr. Miami’s latest venture is having his own plastic surgery reality TV show on We TV. In this new TV series, the plastic surgeon will show viewers the process of surgeries, similarly to his Snapchat stories.
