A stormed raged outside!

What a beautifully wicked day to meet to talk about entrepreneurship and career growth! Our first event open to the wider Meetup audience took place on an especially stormy day. While the riverfront towns were flooding and dealing with transportation chaos, we tried to work through some of our own internal entrepreneurial chaos with the help and support of this network of friends.

Over hot coffees and brunch, we talked about our pricing strategies and how to cater to both volume as well as repeat business without diluting our brand by hiring someone inexperienced to help. We talked about creating service tiers for high value clients, where we could provide one-on-one interaction, while others may benefit from the service at a lower rate but expect less hand-holding and allowing more time to complete the project. We’ll check in again with our members to see what, if any, modifications they made to their pricing structure and whether it yielded the desired results.

We also shared updates on our #MomsWhoWork project with new members. This is still a new undertaking and we are trying to figure out how best to approach the various angles. I hope to have more updates to share at the next brunch.

The #MomsWhoWork season has been reaching more people and seems to have struck a chord that resonates with a lot of working women. And yet, I feel like we’ve only just touched the surface on this topic. This brunch makes me wonder if it may make sense to extend this conversation to one more season. Hmmm.

There’s always great takeaways when the ladies meet and talk shop. Post-brunch we helped out a friend with her big event later that evening and hope it went well! I love the spirit of camaraderie and support that the Inner Circle Brunch has come to mean to all of us. Until next time, go on, start some trouble!
