Our guest this week is Jennifer Stringer, a teacher turned Education consulting powerhouse. Despite being an import from Texas Jennifer finds herself very at ease in her Brooklyn home, turning to education consulting almost as soon as she hit the New York City waters, given its thriving Ed Tech industry. She’s someone, who like me, turned to motherhood slightly late in life (though I think these days that has become the norm). As such she has both the keen sense of responsibility towards parenting and a strong need to keep her career thriving. She now works at the mission-driven CarrotNewYork, a small woman-owned business, and has been successful in using the natural support of other women to do both well.

I found a kindred soul in Jennifer, as she makes time for “herself” through her volunteer work and is working on forgiving herself for being only human when juggling her various responsibilities to both work and family. I really enjoyed speaking with her at her lovely offices in downtown New York City. Take a listen!
